Issue 12.2
As we enter a bright new riding season, Freehub celebrates a return to the trails with our summer edition—an artistic salute to mountain biking’s outdoor-loving lifestyle. This hefty book revolves around the importance of community and is brimming with stories of resilience and generosity. These virtues can be manifested at the individual level, such as legendary downhill racer Shaums March reinventing himself as an influential coach or freerider James Doerfling channeling his ability to find imaginative lines into building trails alongside First Nations youth in British Columbia. Such acts of service are also sweeping across North America on a community level, with countless volunteers dedicating their time to add hundreds of miles of new singletrack to cities like Chattanooga, Tennessee, and La Crosse, Wisconsin. Welcome to Issue 12.2, a hope-filled tribute to mountain biking’s unsung heroes.
