Pisgah Party Photo Gallery

Beers, bikes and good times, all for a good cause.

Last Friday, Oct. 2nd, we celebrated the upcoming release of our Pisgah Photo Book with a party in Asheville, NC. We wanted to give the fine folks of western North Carolina an early peek at the Pisgah Photo Book and also raise money for the trail building and advocacy groups that have helped create such an incredible mountain biking community. Our photo book aims to showcase the abundance and variety of trails in a specific location, and while we are a Northwest-based magazine, we pride ourselves on covering all aspects and areas of mountain biking. Pisgah was a standout when it came to looking for a location, and between the few people we’d met and the stories we’d heard, we couldn’t wait to explore. This is the second photo book that we’ve published, and the first time we’ve ever had an official release party, so we naturally headed back east to celebrate with good beer and good people.

Even as the rain and wind from Hurricane Joaquin picked up, mountain bikers continued to flood the Smoky Park Supper Club. By the end of the night, we had raised $5,250 for the Pisgah Area SORBA, Northwest NCMBA, and the Boone Area Cyclists thanks to a $2250 donation from Trailforks.com and funds raised at the event from the cover and raffle tickets. The raffle prizes were generously donated by New Belgium, Transition, Industry Nine, Cane Creek, and Trailforks.com. We want extend a huge thanks to everyone that came and made the event such a success. There is clearly a strong and passionate mountain biking community here, as evidenced in the people that helped our photo book come alive, and those who came out to support. Thank you for welcoming us into your community, and we could not be more proud to work with the brands that we have to give back to the local trail organizations. We’ll be back.
