A New Beginning Reimagining the Storied Freeride Trails of Black Rock, Oregon

The trails outside Falls City, Oregon, once famous for their iconic wood features and legendary freeride segments, have fallen into disrepair after years of neglect and near-loss of land access.

Fortunately, Matt Lund, a founding member and current president of the Black Rock Mountain Bike Association, has rallied friends to restore the trail system 20 years after its inception.

A New Beginning, featured in the 2024 Freehub PRESENTS, is a mini-documentary about Black Rock’s revival, with professional freerider Cam McCaul and his close friends leading the effort to rehabilitate one of the world’s most iconic freeride networks.
