Review by Brandon Watts
Many mountain bikers don't fully understand the time, effort and passion that go into building, sustaining and managing trails. It is a constant battle of politics, user groups, industries and priorities that take years and years to correctly adopt and execute. Pedal Driven; a bikeumentary is a well produced and informational film that can easily give any mountain biker a crash course in the efforts, logistics, and manpower it takes to make mountain bike trails a reality. The documentary style film explores the mountain biking communities throughout the Northwest corner of the United States and creatively showcases the struggle and balance between government agencies, activists, builders and user groups. This insightful exploration into the process of building legal bike trails will leave any novice or knowledgeable mountain biker well informed, and inspired. We recommend this film to any rider or builder, and feel that it adequately showcases the struggle that many bike communities face in the Northwest and beyond.
