The crew at Freehub is hosting a unique community gathering, Freehub PRESENTS, to celebrate inspiring stories in mountain biking, best told on the big screen through the art of film.

We're inviting riders, creators, and bike industry peers to join us for a night of film screenings and fundraising for the Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition (WMBC). We welcome passion projects, rich storytelling, and creative short films that are not yet released online. More event info coming soon, including details on ticket sales, showtimes, supporting partners, and more.

Important Dates

• Submission Deadline: May 31st, 2023
• Materials Due: June 9th, 2023
• Event: July 13th, 2023

Reasons to Participate

• Open to anyone and no cost to submit
• Selected films have options to release online via Freehub.com later in July or Fall of 2023
• Selected filmmakers will receive complimentary tickets + NW Tune-Up festival passes valued over $250
• “Viewer Choice” wins a cash prize

Submission Guidelines

• All submissions must be original content not released on the internet prior to July 13th, 2023
• Film submissions must be mountain bike related
• All entries must have all copyrighted materials cleared and documented
• Multiple entries can be submitted for consideration
• Submissions can be any length up to 20 minutes long, but 5 to 10 minutes is often best
• Rough cut submissions are due May 31st, 2023 via our submission form below

Freehub will support selected films with the following:

• Film Teaser promotion on Freehub.com channels
• Film company or filmmaker bio to be displayed on Freehub.com channels
• Filmmaker and film description to be included in festival release assets
• Additional visibility via the NW Tune-Up platforms
