Just trying to get the word out there. My anniversary edition 575 (#223) was stolen early Christmas Eve morning.
Here's how it went down: Early Christmas Eve morning (about 3am), a man, approximately 6’, thin build and appearing to be in his 20’s, walked up our street and broke into my husband’s Cadillac SRX, which was parked on the driveway. The thief found his key ring with all his keys on it in the vehicle. The thief then proceeded to find the key that unlocked the side door of our garage, and unlocked the door. He then methodically took 4 expensive bikes out of our garage (Yeti 575, Niner RIP 9, Cannondale Six13, and Scattante Elite), riding each one down and out of the street, walking back up the street and riding the next one down.
The thief then came back 2 hours later, took one of our backpacks, loaded it up with miscellaneous items from our garage and walked that down the street. He then came up the street a final time and drove off with my Nissan Xterra. All this information was gleaned from our security camera footage, as well as security camera footage from one of our neighbors.
My Xterra was found on the street above ours, but none of the bikes have been located yet. If you happen to come across #223, please contact your local law enforcement. I live in southern California and will gladly pay to have my beloved bike shipped back to me from anywhere! Thank you all in advance for keeping an eye out.
