I'm always looking to merge rock, wood, and dirt into one. This was a cribbed bench section that was short on soil. Really not wanting a wall of wood on the side of the traiI, I began stacking these rocks and mortaring them in with the little dirt available. Really just a small step, but it flowed into a section of rock drops to match the feel of the trail. This was unique to the entire project, just wanting to leave my signature on a lifetime adventure.
